Looking Back on a Busy Month for Mobeewave

Packed full of awards, events, interviews and press releases, June proved to be a particularly busy month for Mobeewave. In this post we look back at some of the company’s highlights from the last thirty days.

Mobeewave took centre stage at Money 20/20 Europe

The month began with a bang as Mobeewave’s Chief Growth Officer, Vincent Alimi, presented the company’s payment acceptance platform at Money 20/20 Europe– the continent’s biggest FinTech event. JoiningMastercard’s Vice President and Start Path lead, Amy Neale, for a session entitled ‘The Start Path to success: How Mastercard works with startups to create real partnerships’, Vincent explained how Mobeewave has benefitted from participating in the Start Path program.

Mobeewave Showcased through Mastercard’s Start Path program

Participating in Start Path and presenting during Mastercard’s session at Money 20/20 Europe garnered Mobeewave coverage from both CNBC and Finextra. Speaking about how Start Path helps later stage startups during an interview with Finextra, Amy Neale chose to highlight Mobeewave as one of the successful partnerships Mastercard has with startups within the program. Mobeewave was also referred to as part of a fintech trend that’s transforming financial services in a post by Mastercard on CNBC. Given as an example of how Mastercard is pushing new innovation through collaboration, the piece included a video featuring Vincent Alimi at Money 20/20 Europe.

Mobeewave to deploy in the Middle East for the first time

A press release was issued in early June to announce that the Mobeewave platform will be rolled out in the UAE. Through a partnership project with IDEMIA and Mastercard, the company will see its payment acceptance solution introduced in the Middle East and Africa region.

Taking home the top prize

Mobeewave was recognized as the SME/Startup of the Year at this year’s Les Grands Prix de la Relève d’Affaires organized by Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec. The prize – which was awarded to the company’s co-founders Benjamin du Haÿs and Maxime de Nanclas – was presented during a gala event in Montreal.

Presenting how Mobeewave can help maximize cashless donations

Mobeewave exhibited at the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Fundraising Day 2018 in Toronto. One of the leading events for fundraisers in Canada, the one-day conference allowed Mobeewave to demonstrate how its payment acceptance platform can help fundraisers succeed in a more cashless age.

National Bank launches Easy Pay powered by Mobeewave

National Bank issued a nationwide press release to announce the release of Easy Pay– a mobile point-of-sale solution powered by Mobeewave. The product – which is available to registered National Bank customers – gives small and medium-sized business a quick, practical and secure way to accept payments.

Mobeewave featured on The Personal Finance Show

An interview with the company’s Communications Manager, Samuel Mulligan, was featured in an episode of The Personal Finance Show entitled ‘The Future of Payments’– which was recorded during the Payments Canada Summit in Toronto in May.
