Technical Recruiter

Mobeewave is currently searching for a Freelance Technical Recruiter to help elevate our company to the next level. This recruiting role will be focused on filling positions in the engineering, QA, sales, and growth departments. The successful candidate will use common recruiting practices and find creative new hiring techniques to attract top talent to Mobeewave. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Pre-screening and interviewing potential candidates
  • Contacting potential candidates and explaining job opportunities within the company
  • Working closely with multiple department managers and their needs
  • Identifying potential candidates for hard-to-fill job openings, using online recruiting platforms (ex. LinkedIn)
  • Engaging potential candidates to schedule screening interviews
  • Screening potential candidates by phone for skills, qualifications, compensation, mobility, etc.
  • Selling potential candidates on job opportunities and communicating our values and culture
  • Presenting candidates who are qualified, interested, and available, to the People Operations Manager and/or Hiring Managers

Technical Project Manager

The Technical Project Manager is a key position in the engineering department. In this role, he or she will be responsible to deliver every project on time and within budget and scope. In terms of day-to-day responsibilities, he or she would oversee the development and maintenance of Mobeewave’s products – including all back-end systems running on Amazon Web Services, Mobeewave’s app, its embedded products as well as any necessary certification. He or she will ensure all projects are delivered on-time and in line with Mobeewave’s commitment to excellence.

Reporting to the CTO, the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Provide value-added expertise in engineering subject and project leadership
  • Maintain project scope, requirements, budget, schedule and documentation
  • Manage the delivery of multiple core products
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
  • Responsible for driving and maintaining engineering department’s morale
  • Provide technical guidance on a wide variety of topics
  • Delegate tasks throughout the team efficiently and effectively to promote team engagement
  • Serves as a role model in leadership and project management- best practice sharing, execution and problem solving
  • Responsible for performance reviews and compensation and administration of the engineering department

Product Owner

The Product Owner is a key position in the product development team. Mobeewave develops many products as part of its strategy. These products range from mobile applications, web applications and embedded software. The Product Owner will take the ownership of one or more of these many products and is responsible for defining stories and prioritizing the product backlog in order to achieve the desired outcome that a product development team seeks to accomplish.

Reporting to the CTO, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Take the lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner
  • Plan, prioritize and groom the product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Ensure product development stays on track and provide solutions when it is not
  • Own the product vision and the roadmap
  • Work closely with Product Management to create the product feature backlog and sprints and make sure it is aligned with the business goals
  • Write the epics and user stories
  • Work with business teams to gather requirements, customer feedback and market research
  • Work with QA teams to write acceptance tests for every story
  • Work with the Release team to plan the deployments and releases
  • Provide visibility to all stakeholders including top management about progress and challenges
  • Help with continuous process improvement

Mobile Android Developer

As a full Mobile Android Developer, you will work in the engineering team to build and improve our mobile Android POS applications and take them to the next level. This means enhancing the software design, improving on the UI and adding exciting new features.

Reporting to the CTO, the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Contributing as part of the Mobile App development team
  • Deploy apps with the engineering team
  • Participating in the agile development process
  • Proposing new features and enhancements

QA Tester

QA tester is a key role in the whole software development cycle. Reporting to the CTO, and as a member of the engineering team, you will focus on testing the applications which includes, but is not limited to the following test perspectives:

  • Creating and executing test plans and writing test scripts for all Mobeewave products
  • Maintaining and executing regression tests, functional tests, integration tests and performance tests
  • Defect logging and tracking
  • Development and maintenance of test tools for all products
  • Implementing continuous integration of existing code base

Front-End Developer

In this role, the Front-End Developer will have to develop high-quality coding of new features in a multi-region cloud-based system. Working in close collaboration with the operation team, you will have to make architectural decisions, develop new features, provide code review and ensure project deliverables and deadlines. All this while keeping security and system integrity as our priorities.

Reporting to the CTO, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Develop new functional, scalable and responsive web applications from scratch for both customer-facing and internal products
  • Maintain and enhance our existing applications
  • Work closely with the Product team and UX team to improve functionality and user experience
  • Collaborate with the QA team to write test plans and test scripts, and to automate testing
  • Be involved in the full life cycle development of the products

Canadian Sales Director

Reporting to the COO, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Promoting and selling products and professional services in the Canada region
  • Developing and managing the large enterprise pipeline for the region – with the goal of overachieving on sales targets with both net new and install base accounts
  • Cultivating a relationship with the company’s largest partners and SIs
  • Fostering and managing long-term, executive-level relationships
  • Building and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of Mobeewave’s products, services, trends, and competition
  • Using their sales acumen and regional knowledge to feed the pipeline through outbound and sales prospecting activities
  • Maintaining a consistent sequence of communication with prospects and leveraging available prospecting tools

  • Tracking trends in the FinTech and payment space, engaging with relevant communities and identifying and developing partnerships with key influencers
