Mobeewave is Gearing Up for Mobile World Congress 2017

February 15, 2017
The Mobeewave team is once again traveling to Barcelona to take part in Mobile World Congress – the world’s largest mobile industry conference. The award-winning company will exhibit its solution – which enables anyone to accept money in person using just their phones – at the Canada Pavilion (Hall 7 Stand 7H40).

Organized by the GSMA, this year’s event will run from February 27 to March 2. Taking place in the Mobile World Capital, Barcelona, MWC 2017 will be held at two venues: Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuïc.

This is the second year in a row that Mobeewave has exhibited at the event – with the 2016 edition attracting more than 100,000 participants. The Montreal-based FinTech company will be on site to showcase its patented innovation, which harnesses the NFC capability and secure element of modern mobile devices. A convenient and secure solution, it makes it possible for individuals or merchants to collect payment anywhere by simply tapping a phone with a contactless card or mobile wallet.

Inaugurated in 1987, MWC is a B2B event for anyone and everyone in mobile and those in adjacent industries who want to discover how mobile technology can benefit their industries.

Featuring all of the mobile industry’s leading lights, MWC 2017 will cover a range of themes, including: Networks; Platforms; Consumer IoT; Content & Media; The Fourth Industrial Revolution; Sustainable Development; and Government & Public Policy.

More than 100,000 people are expected to attend. There will also be in excess of 2,200 exhibitors, 160 delegations and approximately 4,000 members of the media.
